Event T&Cs
These are the standard terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) which apply when you book an event held by the Lady Eleanor Holles School (“LEH”), of Hanworth Road, Hampton TW12 3HF. Any booking of an event (an “Event Booking”) shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions unless specifically varied in writing and agreed to by both parties prior to the event. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
1. Interpretation
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “working days” shall mean Monday to Friday inclusive.
2. Payment for an Event Booking
You must make payment in full upon booking an event. An Event Booking will be regarded as confirmed once full payment has been received.
You should make payment for an Event Booking by credit card using LEH’s online booking system. If for any reason this is not possible, payment can be made via bank transfer to the following account:
Barclays Bank plc
The Lady Eleanor Holles School
Sort Code: 20-47-23
Account number: 40344370
3. Cancellation and refunds
3.1 If LEH cancels an event, it will refund the amount paid in respect of an Event Booking (after deduction of any booking or credit card fees) to the credit card or account from which you originally made payment.
3.2 If LEH moves or reschedules an event, it will refund upon your written request the amount paid in respect of an Event Booking (after deduction of any booking or credit card fees) as set out in 3.1 above. In the absence of a refund request, your Event Booking will be transferred to the moved / rescheduled event.
3.3 Should you wish to cancel an Event Booking, you must notify LEH in writing no later than 30 working days before the day (or first day) of the event. Any such written cancellation will qualify for a full refund, subject to deduction of (i) a 10% administration charge and (ii) any booking or credit card fees. LEH will make any such refund to the credit card or account from which you originally made payment. Neither verbal cancellations nor cancellations received after the deadline will qualify for a refund. You may nominate a substitute to attend an event in your place as long as you provide LEH with written notification of this substitution in advance of the event in question.
3.4 Any Public Health Emergency declared by Public Health England or the Chief Medical Officer for England, or the enactment of any law or any action taken by the UK government or UK public authority that prevents an event from being held, will be treated as a cancellation in accordance with clause 3.1 above. However, should a revised event date be agreed, such date to take place within 12 months of the original event date, clause 3.2 will apply.
4. Force Majeure
LEH shall not be liable for any delay to or failure to hold any of its events if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts, accidents, war or fire. In such circumstances and where possible, LEH will exercise reasonable endeavours to reschedule the event in question. If this is not possible, LEH may at its discretion offer a refund in respect of the relevant Event Booking.
