Code of Conduct for an Alumna Mentee

We hope you find LEH Elevate a useful and engaging tool and request that all users follow our Code of Conduct.

Roles
The role of the mentor is to assist the mentee through a process of self-reflection, questions and support, signposting challenges, offering feedback and sharing thoughts based on their experiences.

The role of the mentee is to work with the mentor to seek help and guidance. This might involve setting goals and devising a plan to meet those goals or using the mentor as a sounding board for advice, reflection and decision making.

Responsibilities
Both the mentor and mentee should carry out their roles with professionalism, consideration and support. You should not expect any personal or professional favours from the mentors you contact via Holles Connect.

Mentors cannot, and are not, expected to have all the answers. To be effective mentors need to encourage their mentee to come up with their own solutions and action plans.

Communication
After the initial approach, which must be made via the ‘Search’ function on the LEH Elevate page to allow the system to capture the match, you are free to decide how to keep in touch and exchange contact details.  This is a key difference with our Sixth Form mentoring programme, where all communications must take place in writing via Holles Connect.

Remember to thank your mentor for their time and for any advice they have given. Please be clear about what level of support you are seeking and what your time frame is.

Feedback
If you take part in an LEH Elevate mentoring match, we will send you a brief feedback form to help us monitor if the programme is working effectively and identify improvements which could be made.

Meanwhile, if you have questions or concerns at any time, please email alumnae@lehs.org.uk.

Please sign the Code of Conduct bellow.
