Give Back to LEH as a Governor

LEH wants to appoint a governor with a special interest in finance to help steer and direct the School to help maintain its position as one of the leading independent girls’ schools in the country.

The Board intends for this new appointee to join the Finance and Estates Committee, with a view possibly to becoming Committee Chair later in their term of office. The Finance and Estates Committee is the principal Board Committee for all matters concerning the administration and financing of the School.

It is seeking a strong and strategic financial leader to play a key role in ensuring the School continues to go from strength to strength while remaining financially sustainable. The ideal candidate may have held a senior position in a top-tier audit and accounting firm, or as a senior financial leader in an organisation of comparable or larger size.

They will employ their astute financial acumen to assist the Committee and wider Board in maximising opportunities and mitigating risks as they oversee the School's resources. Previous board or committee-level experience is not a requirement, but it would be welcomed.

The successful candidate will join at a highly interesting and pivotal time for independent schools as they come to terms with the implementation of VAT on school fees and the impact this will have on the sector as a whole. They will help shape LEH’s response to this and other market challenges

LEH has partnered with Nurole, a leading board-level search specialist, to help recruit the Governor. You can find out more and apply HERE . To arrange an informal conversation or in case of any other queries, please contact caroline.olsen@nurole.com. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 8th January 2025.
