Alumnae News |
The move will make it much easier for our alumnae to identify valuable networking opportunities. Rather than appearing in a seperate LinkedIn page, they will now be found under the 'Alumni' tab on the school's own LinkedIn page. This option is already widely used by many educational institutions.
As there is currently no way for us to merge the exsisting LinkedIn LEH Alumnae page or the LEH Alumnae group with the official school page, we are asking all our alumnae to make the update themselves.
On your LinkedIn profile, please go to the Education section and click on the ‘+’ sign to add the school. Start typing Lady Eleanor Holles in the ‘school’ section and the official page will automatically appear, please select it, and add the information it requests. If you want to double check the dates you attended LEH, please drop us a line at: alumnnae@lehs.org.uk.
The new Alumni tab will allow you to search for fellow alumnae by year groups, and by job title or company – making it much simpler to identify valuable networking opportunities. You can also filter profiles based on what they studied, where they live and what skills they have listed.
It’s a wonderful way to get your foot in the door if, for example, you have a job interview coming up. Now you will easily be able to search for any of your fellow alumnae who work there, or might have done in the past, and then message them with any questions about the organisation.
There’s a very helpful article about how to really make the most of the Alumni Tool here: The LinkedIn Alumni Tool: How To Use It And Make New Connections (cultivatedculture.com)
The more LEH alumnae that use the facility, the more effective a tool it will become. The LEH LinkedIn page will be the one-stop shop for all professional LEH news, reunions and job opportunities. In order to drive traffic we will be closing the LEH Alumnae page and the LEH Alumnae Group at the end of November 2023 allowing you plenty of time to update your profile.
Our alumnae community is a vast network of supportive, talented, and remarkable people, and this new tool should help you really make the most of those precious connections. If you are not already part of the LEH network on LinkedIn, now is the perfect time to join us.
