Applications for our Be Bold Grant, which is exclusively available to past LEH pupils, close on Friday 3rd November, so if you’d like our assistance to fulfil your ambitions, please get in touch before then.
The offer of funding support, which used to be called the Emerging Talent Award, has been revamped to emphasise that it embodies the spirit of the school motto, Hope Favours the Bold.
The aim is to uphold the school ethos which encourages pupils to have the confidence to try something new, to step beyond their comfort zone and risk failure in order to learn and grow.
The Be Bold grant is open to an enterprising former LEH student, of any age, who would benefit from the support of the LEH alumnae community to take on a new challenge or to try something different, with a focus on social impact or giving back to the community. Examples might include projects with a charitable remit or that support local causes or taking part in an environmental project or an initiative to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
The grant is awarded by the Alumnae Advisory Group (AAG) which is made up of nine former pupils, who between them represent our remarkable community of former students, with the most senior member from the Class of 1955 right through to the youngest from the Class of 2010.
Each year we hope to make one or two grants available, up to a maximum of £1,000. Applications are made by completing the online form to set out why you need the funding along with a breakdown of how you’d put the money to use. If you’re successful we ask recipients to keep us updated about their project and write a story about how things turn out and what they learned.
The new grant is open to any former LEH student who would benefit from the support of fellow alumnae. To see the full criteria and find the application form please visit the Be Bold Grant page on Holles Connect: here.
Good luck to everyone who applies. If you have any questions about the grant, please email: alumnae@lehs.org.uk
