Meet the New Head Mistress

We're pleased to offer our alumnae a chance to get to know Mrs Rowena Cole, the 28th Head Mistress in the 300-year history of LEH School, a bit more before she takes up her new role in September.

Mrs Cole was in the hot seat earlier this month being interviewed by the Head Girl team for a video which has been shared with current pupils and their parents – and now with all of you.

In it she reveals what she was like as a pupil herself, what her advice is to new pupils joining LEH for the first time and what her superpower would be, if she had one.  Mrs Cole also divulged which books are currently on her bedside table and what she likes to sing along to in the car.

Mrs Cole says: “I’m really looking forward to getting to know all the pupils here, as well as the staff, parents and alumnae. I want to get under the skin of the school, join some of the classes, listen to the music, watch the sports and discover what makes LEH such a brilliant place to come to school."

She adds: “I always love meeting the pupils, bursting with energy and ideas. I’m so often in awe of all that they achieve, and I really enjoy their optimism and hearing their hopes for the future.”
