Holles Forever! All The Hits and More!

Calling all former members of the Holles Singers! Here's a chance to relive your glory days and sing favourite medleys like Chicago, Cabaret, Brit Mashe, Sassitude and even Star in the Sky once again.

LEH Director of Music Miranda Ashe is organising a special reunion concert - called Holles Forever! - on Saturday 17 December, which will not only celebrate her and Mr Ashe's 14 years of being at LEH, but will raise funds for the School's Bursary Fund.

She is inviting all previous members of Holles Singers to take part, starting with those who held their very first rehearsal in January 2008, right through to the ‘newbies’ who will have joined in September 2022.

Mrs Ashe says:-

Saturday 17th December

Rehearsals during the day for the medleys from 2008 to 2022. We will provide marked up sheet music & individual recordings for each voice type so you can put in some work in the weeks before you come, and then we’ll whip it all into shape on the day.

There will be a lot of pencils around - just saying…

Choose the music you remember singing and anything else that appeals.

5.30pmish Tea & a glass of bubbly to muster your courage and gird your loins before the concert ahead…

7-8:30pm Holles Forever! The Performance

8:30pm Post-show drinks and copious canapés as we dissect what went wrong, who took a breath in an idiotic place and what an exhilarating buzz it was to meet up with old friends to sing those spinetingling medleys.

As we are holding the concert in aid of the LEH Bursary fund we're requesting that you pay £20 a head to take part and we will provide tea, drinks & canapés.

Concert tickets are available at £10 (on the events page of Holles Connect) should your current paramours/children/parents/guineapigs wish to marvel at you reliving your glory days. And what an almighty sound it could be!

We are also holding a Musical Auction of Promises, also in aid of the Bursary Fund, so you could offer something for that if you felt so inclined. The theme would be ‘If Music be the Food of Love, Play On’ so anything to do with Music, Food or Drink would be absolutely spiffing. For example, our harp teacher will offer an hour’s incidental music for a drinks party or a wedding & we’ll ‘persuade’ our stunning string quartets to come and entertain you at a time of your choosing. The possibilities are endless…

So, please let us know:-

a) if you’re free on Sat 17th December 2022 & would like to join in with this high-octane, magnificent celebration of a unique part of your youth

and

b) if you’d like to donate something to the Musical/Food/Drink Auction of Promises

Thanks awfully. It seems to me we need to celebrate live music at every opportunity after the dismal restrictions of Covid.

#LEHMusicLivesOn

As ever,

Mrs Ashe
