Alumnae News |
Created by Alice Seabright (writer and director of Sex Education), this original six-part drama follows Becky Green (Erin Doherty) who spends her life on Chloe’s (Poppy Gilbert) social media, always on the outside looking in, until a sudden tragedy pulls her in deeper than she ever dreamed possible.
Poppy is fresh from her success as one of the creepiest roles in Netflix’s smash hit thriller Stay Close, which became the streaming platform’s most-watched show earlier this year. In it she played the role of Barbie, a cold blooded but at times, very camp, killer who worked alongside equally sinister partner in crime Ken.
After leaving LEH, Poppy trained at Guildford school of Music and Drama. Her first on screen role, was back in 2020, where she appeared as Lesley Pike in an episode of Call the Midwife. She went on to appear on a TV mini-series call The Pale Horse as Thomasina Tuckerson.
Chloe is on BBC ONE on Sunday nights at 9pm and is also available in iPayer.
