Getting Together Again from Home

Former pupils from around the world caught up with friends and acquaintances this weekend at our second highly-successful Virtual Alumnae Reunion.

Alumnae joined us from Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Greece, Pakistan, South Korea, the UAE, and, of course, from all round the UK.

Head Mistress Heather Hanbury said: “I’m delighted that we are able to do a reprieve of last year’s virtual reunion morning. Welcome  to anyone who happens to be watching from the other side of the world – something which of course wouldn’t be possible were we at LEH today.  I do look forward to welcoming you back to school at some point, but I know that today will be very special in its own way.”

It was clear many of you agreed, with animated chat in the live video reunion groups, and positive feedback about the pupil performances.  Many attendees watched videos about recent improvements to the facilities, enjoyed a virtual tour of the building and lingered over the galleries of LEH photos past and present.

Trish White, Class of 1958, described it as “truly magnificent”, while Janet Farrow, Class of 1955, said: “Thank you, the live chat was wonderful.”

If you would like to explore LEH and its grounds, hear the amazing performances from a selection of our music scholars, or read some lively memories of alumnae’s school days, you can still visit the site here (but please note, the chat rooms are no longer live):
